Instant Temptation - Jill Shalvis

D’aww. What a super cute read.

This is a character driven story and I liked that. There were a few plot points here and there, one of which could be considered weak.

I’m looking at you promptly solved illegal hunting storyline.

However, it didn’t take away from the enjoyment of the story.

Harley did get on my nerves initially with her indecision and her need to push TJ away. It was obvious to both of them how much she wanted him. A sentiment he reciprocated. However, I realized that she was only guarding her heart and I couldn’t blame her for being careful.

TJ allowed me to realize that patient men are sexy men. He was a total dreamboat and really sexy. Did I already mention he was sexy? Because he was really sexy.

Since the plot isn’t particularly gripping, I found myself dropping the book in favor of other entertaining activities like otome games and Disney World rides. It’s not to say the book isn’t entertaining. It’s just a bit of a slow burn that never fully grew to a full flame.

It was great to see how Cam & Katie and Stone & Emma are doing, along with Annie and Nick. I won’t lie, I will miss this heartwarming bunch.

Overall, a satisfying end to the trilogy.
